As well as the beautiful rooms and restaurant, I particularly love their inner garden: it is a quiet, hidden oasis, with exceptional staff and decor and drinks. Their flower arrangements are alone worth the visit, its I stunning here!

Part of the Relais and Chateaux family, Hotel Raphael has classically furnished rooms, some with terraces or small balconies, a wonderful rooftop terrace and restaurants and an enviable position close to Piazza Navona, one of the most romantic and beautiful areas in the whole of Rome, perfect for evening strolls.

This is also an eco-hotel, perfect to stay eco-friendly in Rome without renouncing romance nor comfort.

What I love the most about this hotel is the location on little and charming Piazza Febo and the wonderful hotel rooftop restaurants.

In terms of rooms, their executive suite with terrace is a fantastic romantic spot for a special night in the city while the exclusive suite is even more of a treat to immerse yourselved in classic Rome elegance.

If so, then you may love Palazzo Manfredi, a luxury hotel just in front of the Colosseum with enviable views over the amphitheater: if you have seen la Grande Bellezza and ache for that aesthetic, you’ll love it here.

In terms of rooms, I love the Grand View Gallery suites: if you check out the photos, you’ll quickly see why!

As well as fabulous rooms, the hotel also has a cocktail bar with Colosseum views and a top rated rooftop terrace from where you catch views of the Colosseum from pretty much the same height as the amphitheater’s top floor. Stunning

5-star hotels make wonderful backdrops for a romantic getaway in Rome but you don’t have to break the bank to treat your special someone to a fabulous romantic hotel in Rome.

The Fifteen Keys hotel (4 stars)

The 15 Keys Hotel (4 star hotel): cozy, beautiful, welcoming and in one of the most charming streets of Rome city center, Via Urbana, the 15 keys hotel is my favorite boutique hotel in Rome.

The 15 hotel rooms have a clean, modern and hip feel: the best ones for couples overlook the hotel courtyard, a romantic, secluded green oasis in the heart of one of Rome’s most dynamic neighborhoods.

I absolutely adore the location of this hotel and the typical cobbled street aesthetic of this area, Rione Monti, which is central and incredibly well served with restaurant and public transport to reach anywhere in the city.

Otivm hotel (4 stars)

Otivm hotel: I first discovered the Otium hotel thanks to photos of their stunning rooftop terrace and this is still a big reason why I love this romantic hotel in Rome!

Located right in the center of the city, around the corner from Piazza Venezia and the Campidoglio, two of the best places to be in Rome at night for views and atmosphere, Hotel Otivm has nice cozy rooms with modern decor, yet manages to maintain the charm of the historic building it occupies. A perfect mix.

For a really special stay, request a room with a balcony. We did (you can see it in the photo! That was just for us!) and it truly felt like being in a movie: a private corner of heaven with one of the best views over Rome just for us!

This is also one of the best hotels in Rome near the Pantheon, the best area in Rome for a romantic stay.

Boutique Relais Barozzi

Boutique Relais Barozzi: set in a historic palazzo in one of Rome’s famous cobbled streets, this is a lovely boutique hotel with a traditional feel yet a modern twist.

Cream, raw stone elements, dark wood and draping give this small hotel a welcoming feel and almost country-chic charm (you feel like you are in castle!), which is slightly unexpected yet pleasant in the heart of Rome.

What made us choose this hotel is the location, in one of Rome’s most iconic streets close to Piazza Navona and the spa! We are partial to a spa break on romantic night out!
