The hotel’s main entrance faces over a rather busy street, Via Labicana, however, once you enter the hotel you will forget the traffic and quickly be swept away by the beautiful interiors and the stunning views over the amphitheater, literally across the road from the hotel.
Palazzo Manfredi has beautiful accommodation falling into the categories of rooms and suites, grand view suites and apartments.
The hotel has a stunning Michelin star rooftop restaurant and a scenic cocktail terrace with views over the Ludus Magnus and the Colosseum.

Rome city center is busy and, in summer, very hot so a hotel with a pool will work as a wonderful treat!

The Otivm hotel is located on Via dell”Ara Caeli, only a short walk from the Colosseum and right in front of one of Rome’s most beautiful landkarks: The Campidoglio Hill.
The hotel is hosted in a fully refurbished historical palazzo and has wonderful rooms, some with a private terrace.
The position of the hotel doesn’t allow Colosseum views but the rest of Rome is at your feet! The view can be enjoyed from the hotel rooftop terrace which is also a lovely cocktail bar.

Hotel President is a large, Best Western Hotel great for families who want the comfort of an International chain hotel and extra space.
The family room here is two interconnecting rooms with individual bathrooms, PlayStation (on request) and free cots for younger kids.
The hotel offers a ‘kids package’ that includes bottle warner, changing station, kids menu and cutlery and even strollers. The hotel has a restaurant on site
The hotel is walking distance from the Colosseum or you can catch the tram just outside the hotel for a couple of stops to get there.

Hotel Kolbe, family friendly 4 star hotel near the Colosseum and Mouth of Truth
Hotel Kolbe is located at the back of the Colosseum, close to the Mouth of Truth, the Circus Maximus, the Aventine hill and the Tiber.
The hotel has nice family rooms, wither on one level of with a mezzanine, a lovely back lawn, rare in this part of the city, and a very welcoming attitude towards.
The hotel is about 1km from the Colosseum that you can easily reach walking along Circo Massimo, one of the most scenic parts of Rome!

Finding good quality budget accommodation near the Colosseum is not easy however, if you are happy to compromise on services such as 24hour reception, you can find some budget-friendly options.
Addresses to consider are:
Colosseo Accommodation Room Guesthouse – Nice, budget friendly B&B, a short walk to the Colosseum
Colosseo Flat – self catering apartment sleeping up to 4 people (double bed + sofa bed), close to Santa Maria Maggiore and walking distance from the Colosseum.
Other accommodation near Colosseum Rome
Some good rentals, Airbnbs are also in this area. I love two, which area beauitiful, comfortable and of course close to the Colosseum:
Apartment Urbana, for up to 6 guests – exceptional, on one of Monti’s more typical streets
Apartment Beato Angelico, for up to 4 guests, in Monti – wonderful location, but there is a staircase inside so if you have toddlers, look at the photos carefully
