Rome has an exceptional food tradition which sets the city apart from other places in Italy. Because while in Rome you find all traditional Italian staples, the city is also home to specialties that are just from here: carbonara, amatriciana, cacio e pepe are all specifically from the Rome area!

They are designed so you can print them as a booklet for them to fill as you go. You can print one of each or, for the gelato, pizza and pasta shops, I recommend you print a good few so they can score each place.
Good to know! I know kids may not like everything and you may not want to waste money on a gelato flavor they don’t like. But you don’t have to! If you go to a gelato place that is not overrun, you can ask if they give them a little taste with a disposable spoon. If they don’t like it, you can then revert to a favorite flavor! You can ask ‘Possiamo avert un piccolo assaggio, per favore?’ which means: can we have a small taste please.
